LactatEDGE is a blood lactate acid level measurement device. It is crucial for athletes and coaches , because it can help evaluate muscles performance after the workout, and set appropriate training ranges because lactate acid analysis is far more precise than using the old percentage of maximum heart rate method.

To perform a measurement, LactatEDGE needs very small blood sample (< 3 ul.) collected from finger tip or ear lobe, which has to be applied on ergonomically designed test strips (blood is absorbed by the strip). After that, test strip must be placed in the device's test field where lactate acid level analysis take place. Result is shown in numeric value on large LCD display in less than 45 seconds with date and time of measurement. Shown results are trustworthy and comparable to those performed in lab.
